While last year AGEL had one representative among the top ten in the absolute ranking, this year half of the ten awardees were awarded. This year, AGEL Hospital Třinec-Podlesí, where a top-notch cardiology center is located, came in second place, AGEL Hospital Nový Jičín with its comprehensive oncology center came in sixth place, and AGEL Hospital Šternberk came in seventh. AGEL Hospital Přerov came in ninth place, and AGEL Hospital Prostějov came in one place lower.

“I would like to thank all my colleagues who contributed to this success, and last but not least, a big thank you to our patients for their trust,” said Ing. Michal Pišoja, MPH, LL.M., Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGEL, regarding the success. His words were complemented by AGEL Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors MUDr. Marie Marsová, MBA, LL.M.: “It is the result of the daily honest work of all employees in our hospitals. Proof that a satisfied patient is our number one priority, of course, with satisfied employees. We sincerely thank everyone! And we believe that by working together we can continue to improve and continue to be a sought-after hospital,” she said.

Tens of thousands of respondents from among patients and employees participate in the survey every year, this year there were even 120 thousand of them. The Best Hospital 2024 project ran from February 1 to August 31, 2024. 147 hospitals with acute beds throughout the Czech Republic participated in it. The criteria for how the hospital ranks in the categories of safety and satisfaction of hospitalized patients, outpatients and hospital employees, and the overall financial condition of the hospital are evaluated. The aim of the entire event is to compile a ranking of hospitals in the Czech Republic according to the level of safety and also the satisfaction of patients and employees.
